We believe electoral fraud is not merely corruption—it is an act of treason. Our mission is to ensure that countries with multiparty elections treat electoral fraud as treason and prosecute it accordingly, with up to the highest legal penalties.

Our Story

A CONSTITUTIONAL LOOPHOLE THAT SPARKED A GLOBAL MOVEMENT

When the people’s votes no longer decide who governs, the consequences ripple far beyond borders. What began as a national crisis exposed a hidden global constitutional loophole.

In these systems, the people are the state, yet electoral fraud – the silent coup – is rarely treated as treason. Treason laws intended to protect the state often shield those who gain or retain power through fraud, while punishing those who resist.

The discovery of this loophole gave birth to VoteGuard International, which works to close it and ensure electoral fraud is recognised as treason, punishable with the highest legal penalties worldwide.

Key Insight:
Electoral fraud destabilises states more profoundly than open rebellion, because it severs the link between the people and their government – the very core of constitutional sovereignty.

Governance

VoteGuard International Ltd is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and all team members contribute on a voluntary basis.

Our leadership brings together expertise in electoral law, public policy, international advocacy, and nonprofit governance.

Day-to-day operations are led by our Founder and Executive Director, Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad, while Mr Md Atoar Rahman serves as Chairperson, supported by a dedicated volunteer team.

We are committed to transparency and good governance and will continue to feature additional team members as our organisation grows.

Mr Md Atoar Rahman

Chairperson

Mr Rahman, based in Canada, chairs the Board, ensuring sound governance and compliance with VoteGuard International’s constitution and mission. A former academic and literary author, he brings deep analytical expertise and extensive experience in organisational and community leadership to guide the nonprofit’s strategic direction and growth.

Md. Asaduzzaman

Director

Mr Asaduzzaman, a Political Science academic based in Bangladesh, contributes to strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy initiatives. His expertise and commitment strengthen VoteGuard International’s outreach and international coordination.

Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad

Dr Azad holds a PhD in Democratisation from the Auckland University of Technology and is based in Australia, where he provides strategic leadership for the organisation. He oversees international operations, partnerships, and policy development.

He founded VoteGuard International to advocate for the legal recognition of electoral fraud as treason and to ensure the highest legal punishment for this offence worldwide. Electoral fraud hijacks the people’s authority to elect their government—what Dr Azad considers a silent coup.

Mr Ahmed, based in Australia, manages VoteGuard International’s financial governance, accountability systems, and reporting obligations. He ensures transparency and responsible stewardship of resources in line with nonprofit best practices.
